The University of Calgary Press seeks to publish works that embody the spirit of curiosity inherent in scholarly inquiry. We invest in ideas that inform how we think and shape our world in order that we may connect local realities to global experiences. On questions of history and identity, people and nature, policy and community; from the transpolar to the southern cone, from regions in Africa to places in the mind; we try to engage one central theme: what matters?
